Exhibition Information
Double Time - Ewan McDougall
Ewan describes himself as a Neo-Expressionist painter, his works in this exhibition are all Oil on Canvas. They are vibrantly coloured, figurative subjects, people animals and hybrid creatures.
to quote Ewan “Above all I prize spontaneity, colour and a good dose of irony. I love being a painter.”
Description from Ewan :
I think entitle the show Double Time as from the time I was a fourteen year old freezing worker through to being an oil rig roughneck in the North Sea and in NZ, double time payment for working long hours and on holidays was a justifiably treasured and hard won prize. Now I work every day I am able to and want to: Xmas Day, Sundays, Waitangi Day, Anzac Day, and the ?double time? is in the pleasure of working for myself, creating and selling works to people who love them.
